Eclipsed

Looking at a photo snapped by NASA of Earth, I was startled by the shear number of lights on some of the continents like in the USA or Europe. However, on some other continents there are so few lights. It's as if one part of civilization has eclipsed another with their lights, just like the moon appears bigger and eclipses the sun, during a solar eclipse.
